This collection of illustrations was created in 2016, with Brunswick as the focal point of inspiration. Historically a working-class and light industrial neighbourhood, Brunswick has undergone a rapid transformation through gentrification and the emergence of monotonous apartment blocks.

The drawings bear influence from the modernist artists of the 20th century, including works by George Grosz, Albert Gliezes, Pablo Picasso, Sidney Nolan, John Brack, and others. These artists' styles have been re-imagined and drawn in as onlookers into the 21st century while watching the landscape of Brunswick change.

All of the drawings in this publication are original works by Christos Linou, using ink pen on paper, on a sketch pad, 15 x 21 cm.
